CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the initiative of the management of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, 25 bicycles were distributed to facilitate students’ commuting, promote health and fitness, and support environmental protection. The initiative aims to encourage students to adopt environment-friendly transport while also promoting regular physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

The programme was held in the dignified presence and with the blessings of Revered Siddh Bhau Ji. On the occasion, the students also received the presence and blessings of Mahesh Dayaramani, along with Ghanshyam Boolchandani, Hero Gyanchandani and A.C. Sadhwani. The presence of the guests added dignity to the programme and encouraged the students.

Speaking on the occasion, college principal Dr Dalima Parwani said the holistic development of students is not limited to education alone, and that equal importance must be given to their physical health, fitness, mental strength and self-reliance. She said it is necessary for girls to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, and cycling is a simple and effective way to make this a part of daily life.

Dr Parwani also expressed gratitude to Maya Keswani and Gulab Keswani for the initiative, saying such support is an important contribution towards a healthy, safe, environment-friendly and self-reliant future for students. Mahesh Dayaramani said a bicycle is not merely a means of transport but a step towards self-reliance. Providing students with safe and environment-friendly transport options gives them an opportunity to become more independent in their daily lives.

Dr Parwani expressed special gratitude for the important role of Jeev Sewa Sansthan in making the event successful. She said the bicycle distribution programme for students could be completed successfully with the cooperation and through the support of Jeev Sewa Sansthan. Describing the organisation’s support as a commendable initiative in the interest of students, she said such efforts present a positive example of cooperation between educational institutions and social organisations.

She said the college’s effort is to inspire students, along with education, towards a lifestyle in which health, fitness, responsibility towards the environment and self-reliance are interconnected. Cycling is an effective medium that brings all these aspects together.

According to the college management, the use of bicycles will not only make students’ daily commuting easier but will also increase physical activity, promote a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness about environmental protection. At the same time, by encouraging cycling, efforts are being made to make students more conscious of their health and independence in daily life.
