CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In Sironj, Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh, the Jatav community submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar addressed to the Chief Minister, protesting the destruction of Dalit families’ crops.
The complaint, led by senior social activist Lalliram Jatav, accused the administration of bias. According to the Jatav community, the administration destroyed farmland that Dalit families had been cultivating for decades. The memorandum alleged that the action was carried out under the instructions of MLA Umakant Sharma, aiming to displace poor farming families.
Key Demands in the Memorandum:
Compensation for the destroyed crops.
Permanent land rights (patta) for Dalit families.
Strict action against administrative officials responsible.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary Vinod Sen was also present during the submission. The community demanded that the Chief Minister intervene immediately to ensure justice for Dalit families.
