CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Namrata Jain, a resident of the Naxal-affected Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh, achieved remarkable success in the UPSC Civil Services Examination despite difficult circumstances, earning recognition across the country. She secured All India Rank 12 in the UPSC examination 2018 and was selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Namrata’s journey to success was not easy. Her early education took place in Dantewada, but after Class 10 she faced difficulties in leaving home for further studies. Her mother supported her, after which she completed her higher studies while living in Bhilai and Delhi. Later, she studied engineering and began preparing for the UPSC examination.
Namrata appeared for the UPSC examination for the first time in 2015 but did not succeed. In 2016, she secured the 99th rank and became an IPS officer. Even so, her goal remained to become an IAS officer. During her IPS training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad, she continued preparing for the UPSC examination.
In 2018, her hard work paid off as she secured the 12th rank and fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS officer. Her story is an inspiring example of struggle, patience and sustained effort towards a goal.
