CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A two-day de-addiction medical and awareness camp was successfully organised at Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurveda College and Hospital, Bhopal, to mark Prohibition Week.

About 90 patients were provided special medical care and necessary counselling related to de-addiction at the camp.

Before the camp, students of the college carried out a door-to-door public awareness campaign in nearby areas and settlements, including Nehru Nagar, Rahul Nagar, Panchsheel Nagar, Shabri Nagar and Sarvadharm Colony, to spread information about the camp and reach as many people as possible.

During the camp, experts informed patients about the harmful effects of substance abuse, the serious physical and mental health problems caused by addiction, and various effective medical methods for quitting addiction. Patients who visited the OPD were examined and provided Ayurveda-based treatment, counselling and rehabilitation-related care as required.
