CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directives of the Higher Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, the “Say No to Drugs, It’s Essential” campaign was inaugurated. To spread this important social message among the masses, the NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal organized a series of awareness activities in Mugalia Hat village.

On this occasion, NSS volunteers conducted an awareness rally through the village, spreading the message:

“Stay away from drugs – Embrace a healthy life.”

Through motivational speeches, the volunteers inspired villagers to quit substance abuse.

A tree plantation drive was also held, linking it with an emotional theme:

“A Tree in the Name of Mother.”

Villagers were told that just as a mother gives us life, trees provide us with life-giving air.

As part of the initiative, schoolchildren at the local government school were also involved and educated about the cause.

The village secretary also participated in the tree plantation and shared the message of environmental protection.

In parallel, a plantation drive was organized on the college campus, in which Principal Dalima Parwani, NSS Program Officer Meena Barse, Prof. Kanchan Chaturvedi, Prof. Jahnavi Detani, and NSS volunteers took part.

On the occasion, Principal Dalima Parwani emphasized that campaigns like these are vital to keeping youth away from drugs. When students deliver these messages in society, they are not just words, but the beginning of transformation.

She added that raising awareness by combining themes like de-addiction and environmental protection is the need of the hour.

The program concluded with enthusiasm, inspiration, and strong resolve. The efforts of the NSS unit were praised by the villagers and the entire college community.
