CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A debate competition on the topic “Should Voting Be Made Mandatory in the Country?” was organized at Pt. Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary Academy.
The event was graced by BJP State General Secretary and MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani as the chief guest, along with senior journalist Rajesh Sirothia as the special guest. Dr. Pratima Yadav, Director of the Parliamentary Academy, provided insights into the academy’s activities.
Chief Guest Sabnani appreciated the debate competition on such a contemporary topic, emphasizing that it is essential for today’s youth to have parliamentary knowledge to understand the functioning of the government and stay informed about current national and global affairs. He highlighted that while the internet provides vast information, it is crucial to distinguish between accurate and misleading content. He also stressed the importance of raising awareness about voting, stating that casting a vote is a national duty and everyone should actively participate in elections to contribute to the formation of the government.

The panel of judges for the competition included Ajay Pratap Singh (Joint Secretary & Executive Editor, Madhya Pradesh Press Club), Dr. Sita Soni (Professor, Government College, Gairatganj), and Dr. Pratima Yadav (Director, Parliamentary Academy).
