3 Important Tips When Buying Gold:
Buy Certified Gold: Always buy certified gold with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark. The hallmark certifies the purity of the gold and includes a six-digit Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) code, which indicates the gold’s carat.
Cross-check the Price: Cross-check the weight of the gold and its price for the day from reliable sources like IBJA or others. The prices of 24-carat, 22-carat, and 18-carat gold differ, so make sure to get the right information.
Avoid Cash Payments and Always Take a Bill: Instead of paying in cash, it is better to make payments via UPI or digital banking. Also, ensure that you take the bill for the purchase. If buying online, check the packaging carefully.
