These mobile units are expected to operate across different districts, providing essential assistance such as drinking water, first-aid support, ORS packets, and public awareness regarding heat-related illnesses. Authorities believe the initiative will help reduce health risks associated with prolonged exposure to high temperatures, especially among outdoor workers, elderly citizens, and economically weaker sections.
Delhi, like many parts of northern India, frequently experiences intense summer heatwaves that place pressure on public health systems and urban infrastructure.
