New Delhi. The minimum temperature in the national capital Delhi fell to 15.3 degrees Celsius on the morning of Tuesday, 27 October 2026. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this is the lowest minimum temperature in October in the past three years. People felt the change in weather as the morning chill increased.
Temperature below normal
According to weather department data, the Safdarjung observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 15.3 degrees Celsius, which was 1.9 degrees below normal. Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 15.5 degrees, Lodhi Road 15.6 degrees, the Ridge area 16.2 degrees and Aya Nagar 15.2 degrees Celsius.
Earlier, on 27 October 2023, Delhi had recorded a minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees Celsius. The fall in temperature this time has once again drawn attention to October weather patterns.
Sunshine during the day, maximum temperature expected at 31 degrees
According to the weather department forecast, Delhi’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was likely to be around 31 degrees Celsius. The sky was expected to remain mainly clear, with partial clouding later. With relatively cool conditions in the morning and night and warmth during the day, a difference in temperature could be felt. In such weather, people leaving home early in the morning are advised to carry light warm clothing.

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) on Tuesday was recorded at 168, which falls in the moderate category under the Central Pollution Control Board classification.
