The last date for adding names to the voter list in Delhi and for filing claims and objections related to the electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has been fixed as October 30, 2026. Eligible citizens now have limited time left to apply. The Election Commission has provided the facility to apply through prescribed forms for inclusion of names in the voter list, raising objections to incorrect entries and correcting personal details.
Eligible citizens whose names are not in the published draft electoral roll can submit a claim for inclusion by filling Form-6. Those whose names were removed from the list during the special revision may also apply for inclusion according to eligibility.
Form-7 is used to raise an objection to an entry in the electoral roll or to seek deletion of a name, while Form-8 is used for corrections in name, address or other details. Applications can be submitted online or through the concerned Electoral Registration Officer.
Revision continues after lakhs of names removed
Delhi’s draft electoral roll was published on August 31, 2026. According to election officials, around 47.6 lakh names were removed from the draft list during the process. Eligible citizens were then given an opportunity to get their names included and to correct errors in the list. By October 25, around 2.6 lakh applications had been received through Form-6 for inclusion of names.
Final voter list to be published on December 4
According to the Election Commission’s revised schedule, the last date for disposal of claims and objections is November 30, while the final electoral roll is to be published on December 4, 2026. Eligible citizens have therefore been advised to check their names before the deadline and, if required, apply with the prescribed form.
To check names in the voter list and apply online, citizens can visit the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, at ceodelhi.gov.in. After submitting an application, its status can also be checked online.
