CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: A change in the weather was seen in Chhattisgarh’s Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) district after continuous rain for two days. Following the rain, dense fog covered many areas of the district, sharply reducing visibility on roads. Due to low visibility, drivers faced difficulties in commuting and the speed of vehicles on roads slowed down.
The impact of the fog was more visible in the morning. On several routes, vehicles coming from the opposite direction were not clearly visible. In such conditions, drivers had to drive carefully. Normal traffic was also affected because of low visibility. After two days of rain, increased moisture in the atmosphere led to foggy conditions. This change in the weather also made people feel the chill. In rural and urban areas, morning haze affected daily activities.
In view of the low visibility on roads, it has become necessary for drivers to remain alert. During fog, drivers are advised to drive at a slow speed, maintain a safe distance and use fog lights when needed. For now, because of this changed weather pattern in the district, people need to take special precautions in the morning and at night.
