CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Design Camp 3.0, currently underway at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh, has reached its exciting mid-stage. Three days of this five-day camp have been completed, during which students have expanded their creative horizons by participating in diverse design workshops and cultural activities. The event provides students with an opportunity to learn, create, and connect through traditional and contemporary design methods.

The camp began with a weaving workshop, led by Ms. Shruti Nigam and Mr. Sandeep Jaiswal. In this session, students gained hands-on experience with hand-weaving techniques, the use of looms, and the contemporary interpretation of traditional crafts. In the print design workshop, under the guidance of Dr. Swati Vyas, Aditi Sharma, and Pintu Pratap Singh, students expressed their ideas on fabric through block printing. They not only understood the intricacies of design but also experienced the printmaking process practically.

The game design workshop added a new dimension to creativity and strategic thinking. Mayank Sharma and Vaibhav Pathak explained the concept, structure, and interactivity of games in this session. Students collaborated to create game prototypes and participated in design thinking exercises. In addition, students had the opportunity to connect with clay in the clay workshop, where Pramod Marshall, Setu Sharma, and Shailendra Ojha introduced students to sculpture and form development. This experience was not just technical but also connected to mindfulness and sensitivity.

The cultural evening on the third day added vibrancy to this creative journey. Poems, dances, and music performances on stage deeply moved the audience. The presentations prepared by the participants not only showcased their artistic skills but also beautifully expressed their emotions and experiences. The evening concluded with an energetic music band performance, filling the atmosphere with enthusiasm and applause.

With two days remaining in the camp, students will finalize their learned skills, present projects, and complete the process of collaborative expression. Design Camp 3.0 is not only an educational platform but is also becoming a source of inspiration and guidance for future designers. It offers students an experience where they connect with tradition, innovation, and cultural warmth. This event is becoming a source of inspiration and guidance for the designers of tomorrow.
