CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: Collector Priyank Mishra has directed all Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the district to conduct a detailed assessment of skill gaps and develop modern, employment-oriented courses according to industry requirements. He stated that considering the rapidly changing technological environment, training programs based on Artificial Intelligence, drone technology, and other emerging technologies should be developed to equip youth with future-ready skills.

Important meetings of the District Skill Development Committee, the Public Participation and Management Committee of the Government Women’s Polytechnic College, and the Board of Governors of Sardar Vallabhbhai Polytechnic College were held under the chairmanship of Collector Mishra in the college auditorium. The meeting was attended by District Panchayat CEO Ila Tiwari, College Principal K.V. Rao, along with concerned officials and faculty members.

Collector Mishra emphasized that in accordance with the National Education Policy, vocational education must be made more practical and industry-oriented. He instructed officials to conduct intensive inspections of the infrastructure and functioning of all private ITI institutions in the district. He also directed them to establish coordination with industrial organizations to provide students with practical experience through on-the-job training.

During the meeting, schemes such as the Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme, Chief Minister Sikho Kamao Yojana, and apprenticeship programs were reviewed. The District Employment Officer informed that better employment opportunities are being provided to students through the Yuva Sangam initiative. Collector Mishra instructed officials to organize special workshops for personality development, confidence building, and communication skill enhancement among students. He also stressed ensuring the participation of student representatives in future meetings so that grassroots-level requirements can be properly assessed.

Collector Priyank Mishra appreciated the achievement of Vineet Sharma for winning a medal in the India Skills Competition and directed officials to ensure better preparation for future competitions. He also suggested organizing upcoming skill competitions and meetings of the District Skill Development Committee at the Global Skills Park.

Special discussions were held regarding strengthening the infrastructure of technical institutions. Collector Mishra directed officials to ensure the availability of technologically advanced and software-updated libraries, smart classrooms, and clean sanitation facilities. He also emphasized complete transparency in institutional procurement processes and strict compliance with store purchase rules.

Instructions were also issued to strengthen security arrangements in women’s hostels and organize special workshops to make female students aware of their rights and safety standards. Additionally, an innovative suggestion was made to open technical institution libraries during evening hours at minimal charges for students preparing for competitive examinations, thereby providing a better academic environment for youth.

Collector Mishra also directed officials to organize regular career counseling and guidance sessions to help secure a bright future for students.
