The commemorative event was graced by the presence of the institute’s Director, faculty members, administrative officials, and students.

The purpose behind dedicating the hostel in the name of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar is to honor her extraordinary personality and exemplary governance, while also acquainting the youth with India’s rich cultural heritage, women empowerment, justice-based administration, and the noble spirit of selfless service.

This initiative by NIFT Bhopal stands as a source of inspiration for the younger generation. The life of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar—embodying ideals of service, devotion, justice, and religious tolerance—continues to be relevant even today and significantly contributes to the process of nation-building.

By associating her name with the hostel, the institution has offered its female students a role model, allowing them to draw inspiration from her life.

Speakers at the event emphasized that Devi Ahilyabai Holkar remains a shining example of how excellent governance can be achieved by following the path of female leadership, social justice, and dharma. Naming the hostel after her is not just a formality, but a sincere effort to imbibe her values and ideals into the spirit of the institution.
