In view of the Dhanteras and Diwali festivals, a special traffic plan has been implemented in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, to keep traffic movement smooth. Routes for e-rickshaw operations have been fixed to control the increased crowding expected in markets and on major roads. The administration has appealed to people to follow traffic rules and use the designated routes.
Under the new arrangement, e-rickshaw drivers have been instructed to operate only on the fixed routes so that traffic jams do not occur in markets and crowded areas. Special attention is being given to traffic management, keeping in mind the possibility of large numbers of people reaching markets for festive shopping.
Meanwhile, the ITI ground has been designated as the site for the sale of fireworks. Firecracker shops will be set up there, helping control unregulated fireworks sales and crowding in other parts of the city.
The administration’s objective is to provide safe and smooth movement for citizens during the festival period. People have been urged to use the designated parking areas and follow the instructions of the police and administration.
