CNN Central News and Network – ITDC India Press / ITDC News Bhopal: At the state Congress headquarters, a floral tribute and homage program was held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man, the late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and the martyrdom day of former Prime Minister, the late Mrs. Indira Gandhi. Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh arrived at the state Congress headquarters to pay floral tributes at the portraits of both great leaders.

Mr. Singh, while recalling both personalities, stated that while Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made invaluable contributions to nation-building, former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi empowered women in the country and strengthened it through numerous initiatives like the Green Revolution, poverty alleviation, and nationalization of banks.

On this occasion, State Congress Vice President Rajiv Singh, Media Department Chairman Mukesh Nayak, Mahendra Joshi, J.P. Dhanopia, former Minister P.C. Sharma, Pradeep Ahirwar, Praveen Saxena, Deepchand Yadav, Haidaryar Khan, Nihal Ahmad, Muinuddin Siddiqui, Jitendra Mishra, Abhinav Barolia, Rahul Rathore, Hemant Narwariya, Vijay Sarvaiya, Surendra Raghuvanshi, Tanay Agarwal, Satish Kanojia, along with a large number of Congress members, were present.
