CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal organized a four-day orientation program Diksharambh 2025 for first-year students. The objective of this program was to acquaint the new students and their parents with the institute, its academic and non-academic facilities, as well as the cultural heritage of Bhopal city.
On the first day, students were divided into two groups. One group was taken on a tour of the institute’s academic building, library, sports complex, and administrative block, while the other group visited key landmarks of Bhopal such as Bharat Bhavan, Taj-ul-Masajid, and the lake area. A special interaction session was also organized for parents at the New Teaching Block, where curriculum details, research opportunities, and placement prospects were discussed in depth.

On the second day, students visited Van Vihar National Park, Lake View, and the Science Museum. Later, they were introduced to various student clubs of IIIT Bhopal. Presentations by Codeme Arzoo and the Sports Club highlighted the importance of cultural and sports activities along with academic life.
The third day featured enlightening lectures at the Radhakrishna Auditorium (MANIT campus). Speakers such as Prof. S.D. Sapre, District Magistrate Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, and Chetas Sukhadiya guided students on excellence, mental peace, and moral values in life. The Training and Placement Department also briefed students about career opportunities and companies offering high salary packages.

On the same day, Dr. Gautam Tetwal, Madhya Pradesh’s Minister of Skill Development and Employment, attended as the chief guest. Addressing the students, he said that coming from across the country to IIIT Bhopal, their success would not only enhance the institute’s reputation but also bring pride to the state and the nation.

The orientation concluded on the fourth day with club presentations, motivational talks, and the presence of special guests who further inspired the new batch. On this occasion, Amogh Lila Das, Vice President of ISKCON, delivered a motivational lecture encouraging students to maintain balance between life and career. In the final session, a unique “Table Talk Dinner” with Technical Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar provided students with a direct platform for interaction.
Diksharambh 2025 successfully connected the new students not only with the institute but also with the culture and values of Bhopal.
