CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Sanskrit Department of Government Hamidia Arts and Commerce College organized two special lectures. The program commenced with Saraswati Puja and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the guests. The program was presided over by Dr. Anil Shivani, Principal of Government Hamidia College. In his presidential address, he advised students that if they learn to remain happy, they will be cheerful in every situation.
The first speaker, Dr. V.N. Tripathi, former Head of the Sanskrit Department at Hamidia College, presented his research lecture on “Pramana Mimamsa in Logical Language.” Dr. Tripathi stated that perception of an object is not limited to the eyes but is also achieved through the ears, tongue, nose, and skin.

The second speaker, Dr. H.R. Raidas, former Head of the Sanskrit Department at Hamidia College, delivered an insightful lecture on “The Contribution of the Great Poet Kalidasa to the Excellence of the Sanskrit Language.” Dr. Raidas emphasized that if one’s determination is strong, even the most difficult tasks can be accomplished with ease.
The event was attended by professors including Sona Shukla (Head of Political Science), Dr. Sharda Singh (Head of Hindi), Dr. Vandana Srivastava (Head of Physical Education), along with other faculty members. A total of 60 students actively participated in the special lectures.
The program was conducted by D. Neeraj Dhakad, Head of the Sanskrit Department, with Dr. Ritu Verma overseeing the vote of thanks and guest reception.
