CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On June 14, 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the NEET-UG 2025 results, according to which approximately 12 lakh candidates have qualified. As per media reports, the rank list, cut-off, and final answer key were made available on the website and DigiLocker soon after the announcement.

A student from Rajasthan secured the top rank, while several candidates from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra also made it to the top 100.

NEET-UG is the sole entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses across India, making its outcome critical for the future academic plans of millions of families. Experts noted that the cut-off was slightly higher this year compared to the last, mainly due to the increased number of candidates and a relatively balanced question paper.

To ensure transparency in the counselling process, the government has already announced the online choice-filling deadlines and document verification dates. Additionally, it has promised to ease access to scholarship schemes and education loans for candidates from economically weaker sections.

The NEET result has become a convergence point for education policy, healthcare capacity, and social mobility each year. This year’s data indicates that competition is intensifying, making the equitable distribution of quality educational opportunities and a transparent admission process the key challenges ahead.
