CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “In the premises of the Central Sanskrit University in Bhopal, a seminar was organized by the Jain Philosophy Department. This discussion was conducted as a joint venture between the Research Center and the Jain Philosophy Department. The main speakers at the seminar were Po Anekant Kumar Jain, Lal Bahadur Shastri University, New Delhi, Dr. Suresh Jain, retired IAS, Chief Guest from Bhopal, and Padma Shri Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra, former Chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, along with Research Center Coordinator Neelam Tiwari. The program was chaired by Campus Director Prof.
Ramakant Pandey. Subodh Sharma, Head of the Vedas and Vedangas Department at the premises, was also present. The keynote speaker, Anekant Kumar Jain, stated that there are numerous research opportunities available for students in Jain literature. It is essential for students to study Jain literature. Padma Shri Prof. Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra said that from the perspective of tradition, religion, and the values presented in literature, Jain literature appears to me as clear and harmonious, devoid of any conditions or oaths. It is a wonderful philosophy that supports humanity.
Former IAS officer Suresh Jain encouraged students to adopt a broader perspective and Neilam Tiwari, the Research Center Coordinator, emphasized that simply reading literature is not enough; it also needs to be remembered. There are many subjects in Jain philosophy literature where students will get opportunities to research. The program chairman, Prof. Ramakant Pandey, explained that Jain philosophy literature is closely related to Sanskrit literature. He shared his problems and received solutions along with guidance from the main speaker with several questions related to the topic of the discussion. Dr.
Yogesh Jain, Co-Chairman of the Darshan Vidya Branch, welcomed the proposal and conducted the verbal introduction of the discussion topic. He provided detailed information on the tradition of Jain literature and the twelve limbs of Jain literature. Pratap Shastri and Alok Jain expressed gratitude for the successful conduct of the program.”
