CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The District Health Committee meeting was held at the Collector’s office. During the meeting, information was shared in the District Task Force meeting about the National Pulse Polio Campaign to be organised on June 28. Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Ila Tiwari reviewed the services of the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department and issued instructions for necessary improvements. She said regular follow-up of services would be ensured through strict review at every point so that the benefits of health and women and child development schemes reach every beneficiary.
Chief Medical and Health Officer, Bhopal, Dr. Manish Sharma, Women and Child Development Officer Sunil Solanki, and nodal officers of health programmes were present at the meeting.
On this occasion, District Immunisation Officer Dr. Ritesh Rawat informed the Pulse Polio District Task Force meeting that 332,000 children in Bhopal district will be administered polio drops under the National Pulse Polio Campaign on June 28. The Health Department has set up 2,710 polio booths for administering the drops.
The Chief Executive Officer appealed to parents to take their children up to five years of age to the nearest polio booth on Sunday, June 28, to get them administered polio drops. She said the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department should jointly carry out awareness and publicity activities to ensure that the maximum number of children receive the drops on the first day. Instructions were also given to enter information about Polio Day in school diaries.
During the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer discussed the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and directed private health institutions that have not registered to complete the mandatory registration. Tiwari said the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission has an important role in the direction of paperless prescriptions, treatment and better follow-up. Bhopal Collector Priyank Mishra is personally monitoring the programme. For registration of private hospitals and clinics under ABDM, Health Department officials will ensure health facility and health provider registration of private hospitals and clinics falling under their respective areas.
Cases of high-risk pregnancy were also discussed at the meeting. Ila Tiwari said that failure to manage high-risk pregnancies on time can increase the possibility of maternal deaths. She expressed strong displeasure over the failure to manage cases even after identification of moderate anaemia, severe anaemia and pregnancy-induced hypertension, and sought replies by issuing notices to the concerned Block Medical Officers. The strictest action will be taken against negligent officers and employees.
