CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A district-level award distribution ceremony sponsored by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, District Bhopal, was organized by Sahara Literacy Educational and Social Welfare Society at Government New Higher Secondary School, Arera Colony.
The event was graced by key dignitaries including Shri Anurag Pandey, Member, State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (with Minister of State status); Sunit Agrawal, Judge and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, District Court Bhopal; Ram Vilas Semil, Joint Director, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Bhopal; Usha Khare, Principal, Government New Higher Secondary School; B.M. Singh, District Legal Aid Officer, District Court; Aditya Jain, SDM, Kolar Bhopal; Shivraj Kushwaha, Social Worker and President of Sahara Society; Samarth Dandotiya of GKS De-addiction Center; and the winners of the district-level competitions.

On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse, a drawing competition was held. In the first category, Priyanshi, Ansh, and Harshita Shende were declared winners; in the second category, Harshita Bhairvanshi, Anjali Lugun, and Samriddhi were awarded. In the open category, Mrs. Kashish received the first prize.
A pledge was taken to abstain from drugs, and a street play was performed by youth participants to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Additionally, an exhibition of posters and paintings created by children depicting the consequences of substance abuse was also organized.
