CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), Bhopal, the “Halla Bol 2025 – District-Level Youth Debate Competition” showcased the impressive reasoning abilities, analytical thinking, and confident expression of participating youth. Jointly organized by the National Service Scheme, the Department of Law, and the Faculty of Humanities & Liberal Arts, the event provided students from the district an opportunity to present their views on contemporary issues.

The competition was based on the theme “Youth Thinking, New India.” Participants presented balanced perspectives supported by authentic data on topics such as reservation policies, artificial intelligence, the role of sports in the education system, and the judicial activism of the Supreme Court. Competition guidelines were provided by Ms. Madhavi Patkar, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, while topics were selected through a transparent lottery system.

The program was presided over by RNTU’s Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta. Former Commissioner Ajatshatru Shrivastava was the Chief Guest, and Ajay Pratap Singh, Joint Secretary of the MP Press Club, addressed the gathering as the Special Speaker. Evaluation responsibilities were handled by UPSC mentor and Indian cinema researcher Anshul Patle, and Abhishek Ajyani, Editor of Dainik Nirdaliy.

A total of six teams presented arguments for and against various topics:

Teams A and C: “Caste-Based Reservation: Right or Requirement”

Team B: “Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Curse”

Teams D and F: “Status of Sports in the Indian Education System”

Team E: “Judicial Activism of the Supreme Court”

Participants impressed the audience with research-backed examples, contemporary references, and accurate data. The event was coordinated and anchored by Gabbar Singh. Dean of the Humanities Faculty, Dr. Ruchi Mishra Tiwari, and Dean of the Law Faculty, Dr. Nilesh Tiwari, were also present.

Third Place: SAM Global University, Bhopal

Winners were presented with trophies and certificates by the guests.

During the closing session, Chief Guest Ajatshatru Shrivastava praised the enthusiasm and debating skills of the youth, stating, “India’s future will be shaped by the clarity and courage of its young minds. Debates are not merely exchanges of arguments—they are a medium that fosters positive dialogue and paves the way for new thinking in society.” He emphasized that intellectual sharpness among youth is the need of the hour. At a time when people increasingly depend on artificial intelligence, it is crucial for young individuals to remain especially vigilant.

In the end, the winners were awarded cash prizes.
