CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The SGFI district-level inter-school Kho-Kho competition 2026-27 was inaugurated in a grand manner at LNCT World School, Bhopal. More than 150 teams are taking part in the Under-14 and Under-17 boys’ and girls’ categories.
The competition is being organised under the guidance of DSO (DEO) S. Dhurve and Babita Tomar, with the support and direction of the school principal, Chaitanya Saxena. On the first day, the players displayed excellent sportsmanship, discipline and teamwork.
In the Under-17 boys’ category, first-round results were as follows: Khalsa Higher Secondary School defeated Silver Bells 3-1; Government Subhash Excellence School defeated St. George Co-Ed School 5-2; and Podar International School defeated H.M. Higher Secondary School 3-1.
In the Under-17 girls’ category, first-round results were as follows: St. Theresa Girls’ School defeated Bonny Foi School 4-2; Siddharth Public School defeated Government Girls Bairagarh 3-0; and Bhopal Girls’ School defeated Aman Public School 5-1.
Through the competition, young players are getting an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent. With sportsmanship, discipline and strong performances, the first day of the tournament remained full of enthusiasm.
