CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, a district-level painting competition and exhibition was organised at Hindi Bhavan, located at Polytechnic Chauraha in Bhopal.
Talented students selected from various government and private schools of Bhopal district presented sensitive and vivid expressions through colours and canvas on themes such as “The Concept of a Developed India” and “India of My Dreams”.
With the historic and exemplary participation of more than 2 lakh students, the competition took the form of a mass movement in Bhopal district, reflecting the core spirit of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. Held under the guidance of the District Education Department, the large-scale event saw enthusiastic participation from more than 2 lakh students of 2,585 government and private schools under all 40 clusters of the district.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang, the chief guest at the programme, viewed the artworks prepared by the students and appreciated their creative thinking. Minister Sarang said, “This event is not merely a painting competition, but a sacred platform to understand and give expression to the strong foundation of the ‘India of dreams’ taking shape in the hearts of the new generation. The India visible in the children’s paintings reflects their ideas, firm resolve and grand imagination of the golden nation to come.”
He encouraged the students to play an active role in nation-building through their artistic talent.
In the competition, the jury conducted an impartial evaluation of the artworks on the basis of originality, thematic depth and creativity. Rishita Pandey of Cluster Government Higher Secondary School, Misrod, won the first prize. Yashvardhan Dubey of Cluster Government Higher Secondary School, Rajabhoj, secured the second prize, while Khushboo Shah of Cluster Government Higher Secondary School, Habibganj, received the third prize.
For excellent performance, Sudha Gupta of Cluster Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Station Area, and Garima Rajput of Government Higher Secondary School, Bagroda, were honoured with consolation prizes. The guests presented certificates and awards to all winning and participating students and wished them a bright future.
The exhibition at Hindi Bhavan featured paintings created by students that depicted various dimensions of a clean, educated, self-reliant, environmentally protected and technology-rich India. The event gave students a unique opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities and communicate their vision for the country’s bright future to the wider public.
MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Ravindra Yati, Mayor Malti Rai, Tirath Singh Meena, Manoj Rathore, Rakesh Kukreja, Praveen Khemchandani, Praveen Atulkar and Raja Tanwar were present at the programme.
District Education Officer Abhinav Arya, nodal officer Dr Bhavna Sharma, District Statistical Officer Vikas Mishra, Arun Vijayvargiya, Nirmala Rekwar, Dr Nutan Saxena and ADPC Vinod Gupta, along with a large number of educationists, teachers and students, were present in connection with the administrative and academic management of the programme.
