CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The executive committee meeting of the District Patient Welfare Committee of the District Hospital, Bhopal, was held in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of Collector Priyank Mishra.

The meeting was attended by CEO District Panchayat Ila Tiwari, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bhopal District Dr. Manish Sharma, Member Secretary Dr. Sanjay Jain, Civil Surgeon and Chief Hospital Superintendent of Jai Prakash District Hospital, Bhopal, along with other members of the executive committee.

During the meeting, agenda items related to patient welfare facilities and hospital administration were presented before the Collector for approval and sanction.

Approval was granted for the procurement of an operating microscope and a hydro-linked operation table for the Ophthalmology Department under the SR fund, based on the specifications provided by the eye specialist. A decision was also taken to repair the air conditioning system of the modular operation theatre in the main OT.

It was decided that, following an inspection by the Executive Engineer of PWD (E&M), a report would determine whether the AC system should be repaired or completely replaced. Based on this report, a proposal along with the required budget will be submitted soon for the Collector’s approval. It was also decided to conduct electrical and fire safety audits at the earliest.

Approval was granted for the tender conditions related to parking, and the executive committee agreed to complete the process promptly and assign the work to the selected agency. A decision was also taken to start a blood component facility in the hospital.

Additionally, the committee decided that usage charges for bronchoscopy and other diagnostic tests such as CBCT would be borne by patients belonging to the APL (Above Poverty Line) category through the District Patient Welfare Committee. Proposals to enhance other patient care facilities were also approved in the interest of better treatment services.
