CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A biannual review meeting was held at the District Sainik Welfare Board Office in Bhopal. The meeting involved an in-depth discussion on various issues raised by ex-servicemen, aimed at resolving their concerns and enhancing their welfare. Necessary actions are being coordinated with relevant district departments to ensure effective solutions.
During the program, there was meaningful dialogue on topics such as welfare schemes, employment, healthcare services, and rehabilitation. The district administration and the Sainik Welfare Department expressed their commitment to continuing such efforts in the future.
It was decided in the meeting that a special public grievance hearing for ex-servicemen will be held by the district administration on the first Monday of every month. Additionally, health camps will be organized at the District Sainik Welfare Board office for the medical check-up of ex-servicemen.
For the financial year 2024–25, the District Sainik Welfare Board has provided financial assistance of ₹27 lakhs to 103 ex-servicemen and widows, and scholarships worth over ₹26.78 lakhs to 149 ex-servicemen/widows.
The meeting was attended by ADM Prakash Nayak, Vice Chairman of the District Sainik Welfare Board R.K. Baba, District Sainik Welfare Officer Retired Colonel Rajeev Khatri, and retired officers and representatives from all three branches of the armed forces.
