CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal Development Authority chairman and Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma on Friday conducted a site inspection of the authority’s works related to Vidya Nagar Phase-2 and Phase-3. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of development works under way in the area and obtained detailed information from the officials concerned.
During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner directed officials to pay special attention to quality in the development works. He said construction works should be completed according to the prescribed standards and within the fixed time limit, so that better facilities can be made available to residents of the area. He sought information from officials present at the site regarding the current status of the works, the remaining work and their timelines. He also directed that necessary works be completed on a priority basis.
The Divisional Commissioner said expansion of civic facilities and better infrastructure development are priorities in the Development Authority’s schemes. He said negligence at any level in construction works would not be tolerated. He also directed officials to conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality and progress of the works. Bhopal Development Authority executive engineer Naveen Shrivastava and other officials concerned were present on the occasion.
