CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A review meeting of departmental schemes, construction works, and development activities was held in the divisional auditorium under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh. During the meeting, a detailed review of the work of all departments was conducted.
Sanjeev Singh reviewed pending and resolved cases in the district-level Forest Rights Committees, claim objections, and the process of converting forest villages into revenue villages. He also reviewed the implementation of schemes benefiting Forest Rights Act (FRA) land title holders, construction and repair works in hostels and ashrams for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students, the progress of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, and the implementation of the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Yojana. He directed officials to complete targets within the stipulated budget and timeline.
While reviewing the School Education Department, Singh instructed officials to compile data on dropout students and prepare a one-year strategy to reduce dropout rates. He emphasized issuing Transfer Certificates (TC) online, ensuring 100 percent enrollment of students in Classes 5 and 8, and appointing nodal officers for monitoring.
To increase enrollment in Class 1, he directed officials to conduct door-to-door survey campaigns, organize admission festivals, undertake public awareness activities, and widely promote government schemes. The Divisional Commissioner also instructed that book distribution in all development blocks be completed by April 1 and that data entry be updated on the relevant portal.
He further directed that admission of children aged 3 to 6 years be ensured with the cooperation of the Women and Child Development Department. Identification of such children during Gram Sabha and parents’ association meetings and ensuring their enrollment in Anganwadi centers or schools was made mandatory.
Singh also reviewed the progress of smart classes and construction works in schools. He stated that teachers must be fully trained in using TV monitoring systems and video-based teaching methods. He instructed officials to provide chapter-wise videos and online learning resources so that students can receive advanced learning support.
