CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma has said that for Rabi 2026-27, all concerned departments, including agriculture and cooperatives, should work in coordination so that farmers in the state can easily receive fertiliser, seeds and other agricultural subsidies as per their requirements. He said there is adequate availability of fertiliser, seeds and other inputs in the division. Farmers should be encouraged to diversify crops, use fertilisers in a balanced manner, use certified seeds, avoid burning crop residue and adopt modern agricultural equipment. This year, farmers should be motivated to sow crops early so that they can use the moisture currently available in the soil.

A review meeting on time-bound letters was held on Wednesday in the conference hall of the Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma. Joint Commissioner (Development) Vinod Yadav, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mrs Bharti Devi Mishra and all divisional officers were present at the meeting.

The Divisional Commissioner directed that all districts in the division ensure adequate electricity supply to farmers for irrigation. Unnecessary power cuts should not be made. Public problems should be resolved promptly in camps organised under the Chief Minister’s Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. Sharma directed officers to not only resolve public grievances at the camps under the campaign, but also compulsorily inspect government institutions at those centres. Inspection reports should be sent on time to the Collector’s Office and the Divisional Commissioner’s Office and also uploaded on the Parakh portal.

He directed that along with complaints received at Jan Vishwas camps, cases related to the CM Helpline and Public Service Guarantee should also be disposed of. No CM Helpline case should remain pending for more than 50 days.

Sharma said the government has made the fertiliser distribution system extremely convenient for farmers this time. Farmers can generate tokens for fertiliser from home through WhatsApp. Facilitation centres have also been set up at the panchayat level. Every farmer sowing crops will be provided adequate fertiliser according to requirement. Sharma directed officers to pay special attention to fertiliser distribution. Special care should also be taken to ensure that farmers do not have to travel far to obtain fertiliser.

The Divisional Commissioner directed that effective action should be taken in all districts of the division to prevent stubble burning. Farmers should be counselled for this and encouraged to use harvesters. Every harvester should have a Straw Management System (SMS) installed, through which crop residue is mixed into the soil. Officers should speak to representatives of insurance companies and farmers’ organisations to ensure that farmers get the maximum benefit of the crop insurance scheme.
