CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Karmaveer Sharma reviewed the Chief Minister Helpline, services being delivered under the Public Service Guarantee Act and pending cases of various departments at the weekly review meeting on time-bound matters held at the Divisional Commissioner’s office, and issued necessary directions.

He said the government’s priority is to ensure the timely, transparent and quality delivery of public welfare services, and therefore all officers should give the highest priority to resolving complaints and pending cases.

Divisional Commissioner Sharma directed all divisional officers to compulsorily visit the districts of the division every week and conduct field inspections of the implementation of departmental schemes, programmes and development works to assess actual progress. He said problems identified during inspections should be resolved promptly and necessary corrective action should be ensured.

Sharma said all divisional officers will give detailed presentations on their respective departments to develop a better understanding of government priorities, departmental achievements and challenges. The presentations will include the departmental structure, major schemes, priorities currently set by the state government, targets, achievements, innovations and the present status of progress. He said presentations by two to three departments will be held every week so that better coordination can be established among departments and a result-oriented work culture can be promoted.

The Divisional Commissioner told officers that in resolving CM Helpline cases, the focus should not remain only on number-based achievement, but special attention should be paid to quality resolution. He said effective monitoring should be carried out to ensure that services under the Public Service Guarantee Act are delivered within the prescribed time limit and that citizens are spared unnecessary inconvenience.

Emphasising better coordination among departments, regular field visits, data-based review and performance in line with government priorities, he said the ultimate objective of the administrative system is to provide better services to the general public. He directed all officers to ensure effective implementation of public welfare schemes, prompt disposal of complaints and continuous monitoring of development works.

JCD Vinod Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Kiran Gupta and officials of various departments at the divisional level were present at the meeting.
