CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh Inspects Integrated Traffic Management System at Smart City Office
Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh, during his visit to the Smart City Office, inspected the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) and reviewed the e-challan process along with the penalty payment mechanism. He inquired about the various methods of penalty payment through e-challan and instructed officials to present details of traffic rule violations, the number of challans issued, and the amount recovered since January 1, 2025.
He directed officials to ensure regular monitoring and follow-up of challan payments.
On Friday, Commissioner Singh inspected the implementation of ITMS at the Smart City Office and issued necessary instructions in a meeting regarding its effective use in traffic management and governance. The meeting was attended by DCP Traffic Sanjay Singh, Revenue Deputy Commissioner Kiran Gupta, ADM Prakash Nayak, Smart City CEO Anju Arun Kumar, SDM Ravish Srivastava, and other concerned officials.
Commissioner Singh instructed DCP Traffic Sanjay Singh to effectively run the vehicle-checking campaign until May 31, targeting overspeeding, red-light jumping, illegal parking, and driving without valid documents, and to take action as per regulations.
Commissioner Singh emphasized that following traffic rules is every citizen’s duty. It not only reduces accidents but also ensures the safety of lives. Ignoring rules is not just a legal violation but also endangers others’ lives. He urged everyone to follow traffic rules and encourage others to do the same for safe travel.
