CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In a meeting organized by Bhopal Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh with representatives of recognized political parties in Sanchi, a special in-depth review of the photo electoral roll was conducted. The Collector and District Election Officer Arun Kumar Vishwakarma briefed the participants about the actions being carried out in the district under the Systematic Intensive Review (SIR).
Divisional Commissioner Singh instructed the office bearers and officials of political parties to ensure that BLOs (Booth Level Officers) and BLAs (Booth Level Assistants) work in coordination. It was informed during the meeting that under the SIR, 100% of a total of 1,041,485 summary sheets in all four assembly constituencies of the district have been digitized.
Regarding the rationalization of polling stations in the district, it was mentioned that the total number of previously approved polling stations in the four assembly constituencies was 1,230. Due to having more than 1,200 voters, 115 new polling stations were created, and 39 new polling stations were established due to long distances. Thus, after rationalization, the total number of polling stations has increased to 1,381.
