CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Shri Sanjeev Singh has issued strict directives to take action against encroachment, illegal felling, and illegal mining in forest areas. He instructed the departments of Revenue, Forest, and Mining to coordinate and organize a joint meeting in the upcoming week.

Commissioner Singh chaired the Divisional Level Task Force Committee meeting at the Commissioner’s office. The meeting was attended by Bhopal Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh, Chief Conservator of Forests (Bhopal Circle) Rajesh Kumar Khare, Revenue Deputy Commissioner Kiran Gupta, and other relevant officials.

The Divisional Commissioner emphasized the need for regular district-level task force meetings to free forest land from encroachments and maintain detailed land survey records. He directed the concerned departments to update maps and clearly define the revenue-forest boundaries. Commissioner Singh also instructed prioritization of the resettlement process for villages located within wildlife sanctuaries and urged for effective action against illegal activities to ensure the protection of forest areas.
