Doctors across the country are continuously protesting. On Saturday, doctors went on strike. All doctors at LN Medical College, located on Kolar Road in Bhopal, staged a protest by wearing black armbands, demanding the death penalty for the accused. They raised slogans demanding an impartial investigation into the incident in Kolkata and the assurance of safety for doctors.
In fact, the violence against doctors protesting in Bengal on the night of August 15 has intensified the movement nationwide. The movement could escalate further if the Madhya Pradesh government/administration does not take appropriate action in time.

The body of the doctor was found in the seminar hall of the medical college on August 9. There were multiple injuries on various parts of the body. The post-mortem report revealed the horrific details of the brutality she faced. The report indicated that the doctor was raped multiple times. After the assault, she was strangled to death. The police arrested an accused on August 10 in connection with this case. Following a High Court order, the investigation is now being conducted by the CBI.
