CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In commemoration of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, a virtual program was organized at the campus of the Central Sanskrit University in Bhopal. The chief guest of this program was Prof. Sudhir Kumar from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and the program was chaired by Prof. Shrinivas Varkhedi, Vice-Chancellor of the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi. The program was conducted online from the headquarters in Delhi and was attended by faculty and students from various campuses and model schools.
During this event, Prof. Sudhir Kumar stated in his address that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is the architect of our country’s constitution and his ideals continue to inspire us today. The movements for equality led by him and his efforts to end discrimination are still memorable for us. He emphasized the importance of the Sanskrit language and provided guidance for its development.
Prof. Shrinivas Varkhedi, the Chairperson of the program and Vice-Chancellor of the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, highlighted that India’s progress is based on the system that is constitutionally grounded. He credited Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar for this constitutional system, stating that India’s constitution is globally renowned and uniquely identifies our nation. He emphasized that the constitution is alive and relevant for us. Prof. L. Narayana Simha coordinated the program, and Sunitha conducted the proceedings.
