CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L. R. Murugan, participated in the Bathukamma Festival organized at Sharda Mandir in Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal. On this occasion, he extended his greetings to everyone and said that this festival, celebrated as a floral extravaganza, is one of the important festivals of India and the world. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India is promoting the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India). As part of this initiative, various linguistic congregations are being organized across different states, with the Tamil Sangam in Kashi being one example.

Dr. Murugan offered prayers at the Maa Sharda Mandir located within the premises. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai, MLAs Bhagwandas Sabnani, Rameshwar Sharma, Vishnu Khatri, and Indian Administrative Service officer P. Narhari. The program also featured several cultural performances celebrating the festival.
