CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: During the Madhya Pradesh Assembly budget session, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his vote of thanks to Governor Mangubhai Patel on Thursday, stating that the government is committed to the welfare of all citizens. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in India to implement the concept of a “rolling budget.” A budget of ₹4,38,317 crore has been presented for the financial year 2026-27, which also includes the work plan for the coming years.

The Chief Minister added that by integrating industrialization and infrastructure into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Gyaan Mantra” (focused on the poor, youth, women, and farmers), the state is using this knowledge-based model as the foundation of its developmental journey. He emphasized that this budget lays a strong foundation for a developed Madhya Pradesh by 2047.

On internal security, he noted that the 35-year-long Naxal problem has been fully resolved ahead of the March 31 deadline. In 2025, 10 Naxals were neutralized and 13 surrendered.

In the health sector, new medical colleges under the PPP model, an air ambulance service, and approval for 46,491 posts have been announced. For agriculture and allied sectors, ₹88,910 crore has been allocated, and 2026 has been declared the “Year of Farmer Welfare.”

The state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is projected to reach ₹18.48 lakh crore in 2026-27, with more than ₹1 lakh crore earmarked for infrastructure development.

Dr. Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to women empowerment, MSME promotion, education reforms, tourism expansion, and investment in the energy sector, aiming to make Madhya Pradesh a self-reliant and leading state in the construction of a developed India.
