MCU Senior Faculty Member Dr Pradeep Daheriya’s Book Released at University

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The book ‘Janmadhyam Yuva Aur Media Saksharta’, written by Dr Pradeep Daheriya, a senior faculty member in the Department of Mass Communication at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, was released during the ongoing AI FDP at the university by experts from the fields of media, artificial intelligence and research.

The book was released in the presence of the journalism university’s Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari, IIIT Bhopal Director Professor Ashutosh Kumar Singh, media and information technology expert Balendu Sharma Dadhich, Head of the University’s Department of Mass Communication Dr Professor Sanjay Dwivedi, Head of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations Professor Pavitra Srivastava, and Librarian and Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science Dr Aarti Sarang.

Dr Pradeep Daheriya, who has been active in media studies and teaching for more than about one-and-a-half decades, has focused this book especially on mass communication media and young people. At a time when media literacy is being discussed across the world, the author has explained why media literacy is necessary in society and among the general public.

In this book, Dr Daheriya has elaborated on the various dimensions of all media of mass communication, including print, radio, television, digital, internet and social media.

The foreword of the book has been written by senior journalist, thinker and university Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari.

Guests present at the programme expressed happiness over the publication of the book and described it as useful for students and research.
