CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Under the leadership of Executive Director Ajay Singh, AIIMS Bhopal is continuously working to promote knowledge and scientific progress in the medical field. In this regard, Sunil Chauhan from the Department of Physiology recently delivered a special lecture at the ‘UPUMS2025’ event held at Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai, Etawah. The lecture was based on the topic ‘H Reflex,’ which helps in understanding the functioning of the neuromuscular system (nervous system). This subject is highly useful for both medical investigations and research. Prof. Chauhan informed students, senior residents, and faculty members about the principles of this technique, its clinical applications, and the recent progress made in it. He also explained how this technique aids in nerve conduction studies and how it is improving the study of neurophysiology.

Prof. Chauhan encouraged the youth to adopt new research techniques and move forward in the direction of innovation. His lecture served as a motivation for students and faculty to foster scientific thinking and interest in research. He also pointed out that the role of these techniques is becoming increasingly important in diagnosing complex neuromuscular disorders. The event was also attended by the team from the Department of Physiology at AIIMS Bhopal, which included Kirti Jaiswal, Dr. S. Bhunia, Mr. A.N.G. Haider, Dr. Pravesh Jaiswal, Dr. Amita Singh, senior residents, and postgraduate students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the department head, Amit Kant Singh. He praised the lecture and emphasized that the use of new technologies in medical education and the treatment of complex diseases has become crucial in today’s world. On this occasion, Prof. Ajay Singh stated, ‘Such educational programs and dialogue between experts shape the scientific thinking of young doctors.
