CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NITI Aayog member V.K. Saraswat engaged in meaningful discussions with the heads (HODs) of various departments at AIIMS Bhopal. Organized by the Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhopal, Professor Ajay Singh, the session aimed to enhance collaboration to improve healthcare service delivery in the region and strategize initiatives. Professor Ajay Singh highlighted the achievements of AIIMS Bhopal over the past 22 months, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to excellence and innovation in healthcare services.

He underscored the importance of the institution’s representation in policy-making bodies like NITI Aayog. Professor Singh stated, “Effective collaboration at a national level is essential to drive impactful healthcare improvements through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

By leveraging the expertise and resources of both the public and private sectors, we can more effectively address critical healthcare challenges.” During the interactive session, V.K. Saraswat discussed the immediate need to retain skilled medical specialists and prioritize healthcare initiatives. He emphasized the role of technology, particularly in telemedicine, as a means to enhance outreach activities and bridge the gap in healthcare access, especially in underserved areas. Saraswat commented,

“We should harness the power of technology to bridge the gap in healthcare service delivery.” “Establishing a robust infrastructure for telemedicine and creating data banks can significantly improve access to healthcare services, especially in remote areas with limited services.” Saraswat also responded to queries from departmental members during this interactive session.
