CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The announcement of the formation of the Vanmali Srijan Kendra, Bhopal unit, under the internationally active Vanmali Srijan Peeth for literature, culture, and creativity, was made by the National President of the Srijan Peeth, Santosh Choubey. Senior litterateur Veena Sinha was appointed as President, Sanjay Singh Rathore as Vice President, Ms. Vishakha Rajurkar Raj as Coordinator, and Savitri Singh Parihar as Co-Coordinator. Senior storytellers Mukesh Verma and Vinita Choubey will serve as patrons of the center. The executive committee of the center includes Director Raksha Dubey Choubey, Suresh Patwa, Piyush Chaturvedi, Prakriti Chaturvedi, Kunal Singh, Nehal Shah, Badr Vasti, Maheep Nigam, Mohan Sagoria, Mudit Srivastava, Mausami Parihar, and Prashant Soni.
The Vanmali Srijan Kendra, Bhopal unit, will engage in creative activities with a focus on various literary genres, the preservation and promotion of the Hindi language and dialects, and fostering collaboration between young and senior writers.
On this occasion, Director Santosh Choubey expressed his thoughts, stating that Vanmali Srijan Peeth, dedicated to the creative contributions and memory of renowned storyteller, educator, and thinker Jagannath Prasad Choubey ‘Vanmali Ji,’ is a literary, cultural, and creative institution that has been actively working for the past thirty years to foster dialogue between tradition and modernity. Over these thirty years, Vanmali Srijan Peeth has undertaken a memorable creative journey, which continues unabated.
For the past thirty years, Vanmali Srijan Peeth has been honoring writers working in Hindi and Indian languages with prestigious Vanmali National Awards, including the Vanmali Katha Sheersh Award, Vanmali National Story Award, Vanmali NRI Story Award, Vanmali Science Fiction Award, Vanmali Madhya Pradesh Story Award, Vanmali Youth Story Award, Vanmali Story Criticism Award, and Vanmali Literary Journalism Award.
With the vision of establishing Vanmali Srijan Peeth across India, branches have been set up in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Delhi, Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh), Vaishali (Bihar), Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).
To promote activities related to art, literature, culture, and social concerns in remote areas, towns, and villages, more than 177 Vanmali Srijan Kendras have been established in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and other states.
The Vishwarang International Literature and Art Festival has achieved a golden milestone globally in the fields of literature, art, and culture. Under this initiative, Vanmali Srijan Peeth and Vanmali Srijan Kendras have organized book tours in remote areas to promote a culture of books, connecting thousands of local creators and millions of youth with creative activities.
