CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Dr. Yuri Botvinkin, a senior writer and Chairperson of the Centre for Hindi and Indian Literature at Kyiv National University, Ukraine, captivated the audience with his self-composed Hindi literary recitations at the “Mukt Dhara” auditorium of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, housed within the Tagore National School of Drama.

In the presence of Santosh Choubey, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University and Director of Vishwarang, Ukrainian writer Dr. Yuri Botvinkin presented a solo reading session, featuring remarkable compositions focused on themes of love, philosophy, mythology, and spirituality.

Notably, Dr. Yuri Botvinkin speaks excellent Hindi and has a profound understanding of Indian contexts. His sense of humor is remarkable. He has been associated with the Vishwarang festival since its inception. Due to his deep affection for Hindi, he spent a significant part of his student life in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, learning the language. Sharing amusing anecdotes from his youthful days in Gwalior, he soaked the hearts of the audience in the romantic monsoon spirit with a gentle drizzle of love through his words.

The program was conducted by Jawahar Karnawat, Director of the Tagore International Hindi Centre and Advisor to the Centre for Diaspora Indian Literature and Culture.

On this occasion, eminent poet and Co-Director of Vishwarang, Leeladhar Mandloi; senior poet A. Aravindakshan (Kerala); senior poet Jitendra Srivastava (Delhi); University Registrar Sangeeta Johri; renowned theatre director Rajkamal Nayak, along with a large gathering of literature enthusiasts and theatre artists, were present.
