CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ajay Devgn’s film ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’ continues to maintain a strong hold at the box office. However, on Tuesday, the film’s earnings saw a decline compared with Monday. On its fifth day of release, the film earned around Rs 19 crore net in India. With this, its domestic net collection in five days rose to around Rs 216.50 crore. The film had earned Rs 62 crore net on its first day, Rs 53.50 crore on the second day and Rs 61 crore on the third day. On the fourth day, Monday, the collection stood at around Rs 21 crore. Despite Tuesday’s decline, the film delivered strong business on its fifth day as well and entered the Rs 200 crore net club in just five days.
In terms of worldwide earnings, the film’s gross collection has reached around Rs 341.30 crore. According to trade reports, around 23 percent occupancy was recorded on Tuesday across nearly 16,000 shows. In five days, the film has drawn more than 87 lakh viewers to cinemas. ‘Drishyam 3’ is now very close to surpassing the lifetime collection of its previous instalment, ‘Drishyam 2’. The film may also benefit from the absence of major releases over the next few days. All eyes are now on whether this Ajay Devgn film can reach the Rs 500 crore mark.
