CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi conducted a window trailing safety inspection of the Gwalior-Maksi rail section. The purpose of this inspection was to directly evaluate safety standards, track conditions, operational arrangements, and the progress of ongoing construction works along this key rail route.

During the inspection, the DRM closely observed track alignment, signaling systems, level crossings, drainage, erosion prevention measures, and structural conditions through the window trailing method. He also reviewed various technical aspects en route and instructed concerned officials to ensure timely maintenance.

At Shivpuri and Biaora Rajgarh stations, he inspected the redevelopment works being carried out under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He also reviewed the waiting halls, ticket booking counters, platform levels, foot overbridges, and passenger facility centers at Shajapur and other stations, emphasizing that work quality must not be compromised and timelines must be strictly followed.

At Panihar station, he evaluated the yard layout, panel room, signaling systems, cleanliness, waiting areas, and passenger amenities. He also inspected the goods shed at Shivpuri, checked safety aspects at level crossing No. 105 (Chachaura Binaganj), inspected the traction sub-station at Biaora Rajgarh, and conducted a detailed safety inspection of the non-interlocked level crossing No. 136B between Biaora Rajgarh and Pachor Road.

Following the inspection, the DRM instructed all departments to prioritize works related to safety, infrastructure, and passenger amenities, considering the importance of the Gwalior-Maksi rail section. He stated that the objective of Indian Railways is not only to strengthen safety but also to provide passengers with a convenient, clean, and modern environment.

During the inspection tour, Additional DRM Yogendra Baghel, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, Senior Divisional Operations Manager Rohit Malviya, along with other departmental officers and supervisors, were present.
