CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Official Language Fortnight Concludes with Enthusiasm at West Central Railway, Bhopal Division
The Official Language Fortnight, organized by the Rajbhasha Department of West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, concluded with great enthusiasm at the Narmada Railway Club Auditorium, Habibganj. The event was graced by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi and Additional Divisional Railway Manager & Additional Chief Official Language Officer Yogendra Baghel as chief guests. The program began with lamp lighting and the singing of Saraswati Vandana.
In his address, DRM Tyagi highlighted that Hindi is the foundation of Indian culture and unity, noting that both Indian Railways and Hindi play a crucial role in connecting the country. He emphasized that information technology and social media platforms have given Hindi global recognition, and also stressed that as India’s largest public sector enterprise, Indian Railways should further promote the use of Hindi.

During the event, the Hindi Day message from Hon’ble Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was read out by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Administration, Abhiram Khare. The main attraction of the program was the humorous poetry session, where renowned poets from Harda, Betul, Itarsi, and Bhopal entertained the audience with their compositions.
On this occasion, officers and employees who excelled in Hindi throughout the year were honored. DRM Tyagi presented Official Language Awards and certificates of appreciation to a total of 81 railway officers and staff members. The event was conducted by Shakeel Ahmed, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Official Language Officer Pradeep Kundalkar.
