CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In view of the upcoming Bina Yard remodelling work, Divisional Railway Manager, Bhopal Division, Pankaj Tyagi conducted a detailed inspection of Bina Yard. The purpose of the inspection was to assess the yard’s existing operational and safety arrangements and review the preparations required to complete the proposed remodelling work in a safe and organised manner.
During the inspection, DRM Pankaj Tyagi inspected the Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) system and closely examined its functioning and the arrangements related to operations. He also inspected various important operational points in the yard, especially the main track-changing points and the condition of points/crossings.
Tyagi directed the officials concerned that safety must remain the highest priority during the upcoming yard remodelling work. He said strict compliance with prescribed standards and safety protocols must be ensured at every stage of the work.
He gave clear instructions that, under no circumstances, should shortcuts or any method deviating from the prescribed procedure be adopted to complete the work quickly. The DRM directed officials to carry out a detailed review of all necessary preparations, technical arrangements and operational aspects before the remodelling work, so that the safety and smooth operation of rail traffic can be ensured during the work.
Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi said the remodelling of Bina Yard is important from the perspective of future operational requirements. No compromise of any kind on safety during the work will be acceptable. Every task should be carried out only in accordance with the prescribed procedure, technical standards and safety protocols.
Senior Divisional Operations Manager Rohit Malviya, Senior DEN, the Chief Project Manager, and officials from operations, engineering, signal and telecom, and other departments concerned were present during the inspection.
