CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Considering the potential large crowd of passengers during the world-famous religious congregation “Ijtema” to be held in Bhopal, Bhopal Division Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi conducted a detailed inspection of Bhopal station.

During the inspection, DRM Tyagi was accompanied by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Yogendra Baghel, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Ramendra Pandey, Assistant Commercial Manager Naval Agrawal, Station Director B.L. Meena, RPF and GRP Inspectors, and other officials.

During the inspection, the DRM examined the platforms, passenger waiting halls, ticket counters, the holding area near platform number 6, parking areas, drinking water facilities, cleanliness, and security arrangements. He instructed that all arrangements for smooth passenger movement, accommodation, and security within the station premises should be completed well in advance of the Ijtema.

Following this, DRM Pankaj Tyagi reviewed the arrangements with members of the Ijtema organizing committee. The committee representatives provided suggestions regarding crowd control, passenger movement, parking areas, information dissemination, train schedules, and collaborative coordination.

The Divisional Railway Manager also stated that officers from all departments will remain on duty continuously during the Ijtema, and crowd management will be monitored from the station control room.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria mentioned that the primary objective of the railways during the Ijtema is to ensure passenger safety, convenience, and smooth operations. To achieve this, additional ticket counters, ticket-checking staff, railway security forces, and commercial staff will be deployed at the station.
