CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ Sagar: On the occasion of Navratri, Durga Puja and Garba Raas were organized in the premises of the Police Training School (PTS) Sagar for newly trainee constables under the guidance of Superintendent of Police (SP) Lovely Soni. During the event, the new trainee constables as well as male and female office staff enthusiastically participated, dancing to various devotional songs in worship of Maa Durga.

SP Lovely Soni said that Indian festivals help connect us with our culture. Keeping this objective in mind, such events are organized during the training period for new constables coming from different remote areas of the state. She added that worshiping Maa Durga during Navratri empowers individuals to fight the evils prevailing in society. With this strength, the new constables can effectively contribute, through the police department, to eradicating societal wrongs. She further explained that the training school organizes cultural and religious programs on various festivals to help trainees stay connected with tradition and culture.

Participants who gave an exemplary performance in the Garba Raas organized by the Police Training School were honored with awards by SP Lovely Soni. The event was also attended by Dr. Sandeep Sablok, a faculty member from the Government College of Arts and Commerce. The program saw special support from PTS Sagar’s staff, including Line Officer Gyanendra Shukla, Inspectors Dipali Pandey, Nivedita Soni, Afroz Khan, Keshav Narayan, Manisha Singh Rathore, Quarter Master Himanshu Bhindya, CDI Pranendra Tiwari, Sub-Inspector Girja Devi, Meenu Pathak, and other staff members.
