CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal – Jagdish Rajesh, Deputy Director General (Administration) of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), visited the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMCHRC). During his visit, he first inaugurated the newly launched e-Sanjeevani Teleconsultation Center at BMCHRC.

Following this, he also inaugurated an Orientation Program being conducted in the BMCHRC auditorium for newly appointed technical staff of ICMR. Lastly, he launched a Hindi typing training program for BMCHRC’s Hindi-speaking staff, organized with the support of the Department of Official Language, Government of India.

e-Sanjeevani Teleconsultation Center Launched

Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director-In-Charge of BMCHRC, explained that the new e-Sanjeevani Consultation Center has been initiated with support from the National Health Mission (NHM). Through this facility, doctors posted at Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in Damoh, Singrauli, and Mandla districts can now directly consult BMCHRC’s medical specialists regarding patient treatment via telemedicine.

These specialists are from departments such as General Medicine, Gynecology, Gastro Medicine, and Critical Care. The e-Sanjeevani platform, developed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the National Health Mission, is one of India’s premier telemedicine services. With its launch at BMCHRC, patients in rural areas of these districts will no longer need to travel to district headquarters or the capital for treatment, bringing significant relief.

Orientation Program for Newly Appointed Staff

An orientation program aimed at training newly recruited technical staff of ICMR was also conducted at BMCHRC, in collaboration with the Quality Council of India and Manav Rachna University, New Delhi. The session was inaugurated by Jagdish Rajesh and was attended by:

Mr. Jagdish Rajesh stated that the program aims to develop administrative skills, project management capabilities, and scientific leadership qualities among the technical workforce.

Dr. Manisha Srivastava highlighted the importance of such training programs for the holistic development of staff.

Dean Deepti Dabas emphasized that such training helps build communication, leadership, and participatory skills.

C.S. Sharma noted that the initiative would help staff develop both technical and soft skills.

Hindi Typing Training for Administrative Staff

To address the technical challenges faced by BMCHRC staff while working in Hindi, a Hindi typing training program was launched in collaboration with the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Asst. Director Ghanshyam Namdev from the Central Hindi Teaching Scheme will provide Hindi typing training to 15 administrative staff members of BMCHRC until August 8.
